GB go in Heat 1 with the Jamaican’s, something would have to go wrong for the Brit’s to medal, but normally they are happy to drop the baton themselves.

Tirunesh Dibaba (ETH) goes for the double, this will almost certainly be between the Ethiopian’s and Kenyan’s. Julia Bleasdale and Jo Pavey will be hoping to be the best of the rest.

Lisa Dobriskey and Laura Weightman both made the final, whilst neither are the fastest on paper, a slow race may open a door for Dobriskey and her fast finish.
